Papua New Guinea Rebar

The steel rebar for reinforced concrete refers to the straight or coiled steel rebar used for reinforced concrete reinforcement. Its shape is divided into two types: smooth round steel rebar and deformed steel rebar. The delivery state is straight rebar and coiled round rebar. Due to the effect of the ribs, the deformed steel rebar has a greater bonding capacity with the concrete, so it can better withstand the external force. Steel rebars are widely used in various building structures. Especially large, heavy, light thin-walled and high-rise building structures.

Light round steel bars are actually small round bars and discs of ordinary low carbon steel.
Deformed bars are ribbed bars on the surface, usually with 2 longitudinal ribs and transverse ribs evenly distributed along the length. The shape of the transverse rib is spiral, herringbone and crescent. The nominal diameter of a deformed steel bar is equivalent to the nominal diameter of a light round steel bar of equal cross-section. The nominal diameter of the steel bar is 8-50 mm, and the recommended diameters are 8, 12, 16, 20, 25, 32, 40 mm. Steel types: 20MnSi, 20MnV, 25MnSi, BS20MnSi.

2) The total elongation δgt of the steel bar under the maximum force is not less than 2.5%. If the supplier can guarantee it, no inspection is required.

3) According to the requirements of the buyer, steel bars that meet the following conditions can be supplied:

a) The ratio of the measured tensile strength of the steel bar to the measured yield point is not less than 1.25;

b) The ratio of the measured yield point of the steel bar to the minimum yield point specified in the above table is not greater than 1.30.
